Abstract
Kassala. In the area we have Hadanalaw people. They are nomads who have now settled they have huge, real and very immediate problems as their animals die – most have already died - they can’t get animals again and fodder will continue to be a problem. They are now looking for new options, new livelihoods. People use the residues of sorghum as fodder together with local wild vegetation, here people are now talking about growing trees as fodder. There are many problems needing still to be addressed in this area. The area is troubled, problems complex but there is still a need for our work.
