Abstract
Germana Melendrez Choque is 65 years old and has been married for 40 years to Santos Queso Colmena, 67. They have seven children, six daughters and one son, and they make up one of the 163 recipient families of the project “Promotion of technological change for strengthening of the way of life of rural families of the Jesus of Machaca area”, financed by Heifer international and carried out by Practical Action, with the objective of improving food security and the openness to markets. They live in the community of Qhohnqho Likiliki, in the place known as Chiji Pampa Titi Qhuta of the indigenous autonomous municipality Jesus of Machaca, situated in the sixth section of the Ingavi Province of the Departnemtn of Peace (Bolivia).
