Abstract
In Nepal, approximately 25% of the population (7.4 million) mainly in rural areas has no access to electricity and about 74% are dependent predominantly on solid biomass fuels for cooking applications. This policy brief is based on a research carried out by Practical Action under the Green and Inclusive Energy (GIE) project implemented by Hivos ENERGIA and funded by The Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
