Abstract
Picture taken in Sariakandi, Bogra District. This village was purpose built to house the most vulnerable people in the community who were previously living precariously on the river embankment. The inhabitants, including this young woman, were selected by the community and provided with a basic raised house on secure land. As a result of having a secure home, households are now able to make a living for themselves, for example looking after other peoples' animals, preparing or selling food, or making clothes.
