Abstract
Rice-duck farming is an eco-friendly farming system different from the intensive chemical based rice farming. In this farming system ducks are raised in the rice field which provides opportunity to exploit symbiotic relationship between rice and ducks for higher productivity and better net income with positive impact on ecology. "Rice Duck Farming" is an integrated farming system adapted to challenge the problems of malnutrition. It is being implemented in Chitwan and Nawalparasi districts.
