Abstract
The Pitumarca Weaving Cooperative meet once a week. They are learning to dye wool, spin wool more effectively and identify and purchase better quality wool at market. The cooperative are also being trained about differing consumer tastes in clothing, to benefit their income from tourists. The members teach each other and share their techniques, experience and knowledge in the various types of weaving and the textile process - hand spinning, knitting, using the loom and creating patterns, using natural resources to create dye etc. Practical Action helped in providing the cooperative with a new loom.
