Abstract

Provision of improved access to water and sanitation,plus education on issues including hygiene, health and sanitation Objectives: • To provide 3 new boreholes and rehabilitate 1 old borehole • Construct 334 Ecological sanitation latrines at household level for Quembo and Nhamissundo communities • 2 ventilated improved pit latrines with a total of 28 squat holes at the 2 schools located in these 2 communities. Providing this hardware is central to improving the general health of all members of the beneficiary communities and will also promote the retention of girls in schools. The latrine construction will be done with full community participation. • Design and implement a new hygiene, health and sanitation module as part of the curriculum at Quembo school in Morrumbala district and at Nhamissundo school in Mopeia district. Direct Beneficiaries: 583 children, 20 teachers - Indirect Beneficiaries: 2,000 community members
