Abstract

This publication explores the Preliminary Results of the business model that was designed in Faridpur to improve the delivery of sludge emptying, transport and safe disposal and reuse by small entrepreneurs in collaboration with the Municipality. This pilot project in a secondary town of Bangladesh is an example of how Public-Private Partnerships can help tackle challenges faced by countries where the number of toilets (and therefore of desludging services) have been critically increasing in the past decade.
