Abstract
We arrived at Ward 14 Sengezane village to visit the VIP latrine built by a disabled beneficiary, Mr Ncube (born 1949). Mr Ncube’s toilet was built by Rodney, who was trained by the project. After digging the pit, it took 5 days to do the initial construction and currently was waiting for the base to cure - it has to be kept wet so as not to crack. “I am very pleased that I will no longer have to go to the bush. It will also be much easier for my wife who helps me with my wheelchair.”
