This training manual, developed by Practical Action, provides a strategic framework for enhancing the polythene value chain in urban Bangladesh. Recognising the environmental and economic complexities of plastic waste, the curriculum focuses on professionalising the collection, sorting, and processing of polythene to create a more efficient and circular economy.
The manual is designed to equip waste management cooperatives and entrepreneurs with the technical and commercial knowledge required to add value at every stage of the chain.
