Abstract
Kumlani is a worker at the Electricity Kiosk in Mashaba, Gwanda District in Zimbabwe. He has 3 children and was a welder before he started working at the kiosk in December 2015. He sells lights, solar panels and fridges. The most popular product is a mobile solar light which costs $30 and also charges mobile phones. The community can also come to charge their devices for 50 cents a battery. Practical Action's Sustainable Energy 4 Rural Communities (SE4RC) project helps the Meshaba Solar Farm to provide access to modern energy services for people in remote and poor locations in Zimbabwe.
