Abstract
During 2007 a desk review was carried out of Practical Action’s projects and programmes to address critical aspects of food and livelihood insecurity . Whilst approaches had changed over the decades, it was possible to pull out interlinked areas of capacity strengthening which had helped build the self reliance and reduced the vulnerability of food insecure populations living in marginal areas.
